Identifies an item. The most basic scroll in the game. Drops constantly. Without one, you cannot reveal the stats on freshly dropped magic, rare, or unique items.

Obtain:Drops almost everywhere from killed enemies.

Gold

Common

Can be spent at Vendors.

Can be spent at Vendors. You only earn gold by selling items to NPCs. No drops, no player trade. Used exclusively to buy from NPCs (respec, hideout services, etc.). Don't forget to sell useless magic items to recover gold.

Obtain:Sell items to any NPC.

Orb of Transmutation

Upgrades a Normal item to Magic with 1 modifier.

Chaos Orb

Removes a random modifier and adds a new random modifier to a Rare item.

Randomises the numeric values of modifiers on an item. Your mods stay the same but their values are rerolled within their ranges. Used to push an item closer to max-rolls. One of the most expensive currencies. Serves as the trade unit for luxury items.

Obtain:Very rare drops, end-of-map, bosses.

Rare

Removes a random modifier from an item.

Applied to a Normal item: upgrades it to Magic with ONE guaranteed mod.

Omens

Rare

Consumed alongside another currency to modify its effect (targeting, refresh, etc.).

Omens act as single-use modifiers applied to another currency. While active in your inventory, they alter the effect of the next matching currency you use. They allow fine control over crafting (target prefixes/suffixes, guarantee outcomes, etc.). Drop from Ritual altars.

  • Omen of Sinistral Exaltation: Exalt targets a PREFIX

  • Omen of Dextral / Sinistral Erasure: Chaos removes suffix / prefix
