Atlas · Getting started

Your first hours in the Atlas

The campaign was the tutorial. The Atlas is the game.

Quickstart

The campaign is 4 Acts + 3 Interludes (the Interludes replaced Cruel in patch 0.3). Finish them, hit around level 65, talk to Doryani in the Vaal Ziggurat. The Map Device unlocks.

Doryani sells T1 Waystones for 5000 gold (stock of 10, refreshes when you level up). A safety net if you fall off sustain.

In 0.5 the Atlas is a structured progression (the Origins of Divinity storyline). You map outward, complete your first Precursor Tower, and a Fortress rises. Fortress maps and bosses are where the bulk of your Atlas points come from, building toward the Arbiter of Divinity.

Sustain when you fall off

If you run out of Waystones, you skipped a step. The fix:

  1. Stop pushing tier. Drop back to a tier you sustain on.
  2. Roll your Waystones (Trans+Aug minimum, Alch on T6+). Rolled maps drop more Waystones.
  3. Reforge surplus low-tier Waystones (3 into 1 next tier) at the bench, T1-T14.
  4. Buy unlimited T1s from Doryani while you rebuild.
  5. Check your Atlas tree: the sustain nodes should be filled first.

Don't do these yet

  • Vaal Orb your good Waystones unless you are pushing for T16. Irreversible.
  • Chase citadels or any Arbiter before you farm T13+ comfortably.
  • Skip rare monsters. They feed map-wide value and mechanics.
  • Spread Atlas points across three league wheels at once.
  • Try to Chance-orb Grip of Kulemak. Vessel of Kulemak fight only.
